Superior Comics.

Overview & Challenge

Superior Comics is the first comic book company built on Solana which brings an innovative and contemporary way to experience comic books. This was their first NFT project and they needed to authentically communicate who they are and appeal to their target audience (Comic book readers, Web3 Enthusiasts, NFT Collectors.), whom I'll be referring to as "The T.A".

My Design Approach

Discovery Session

It is common for stakeholders' ideas, business needs, and challenges to differ from the exact problem, so I had to define the core challenges to focus efforts on solutions to solve them. This helped us to also align expectations.

Goals of Discovery Session

  • • Understand core challenges
  • • Understand the Target Audience
  • • Define Website Goals & Objectives
  • • Alignment on Visual Direction

Logo, colors, typeface.

Brand Refresh

Superior Comics had been going for low-cost options for their brand and social media content. It was crucial to choose colors and a typeface that captured their vibrant and exciting nature.

I used Strretch typeface for headings, Nunito for body text, blue and purple gradient with a flash animation on hover for "Calls to Action" to create that vibrant look that matches their brand. Then generated a color palette to work with.

Addressing The T.A

User Personas

Superior comics caters for a certain demographic within the age group of 14 - 39, otherwise known as "Millennials" and "Gen-Z".
They are Comic book readers, gamers, Web3 & Crypto Enthusiasts, NFT Collectors.
This greatly influenced my design decisions.

The Layout

Wireframe

Based on the user research and site mapping, I designed a list of relevant visual themes.

The Website

"Fin"

The imagery, functional animations, transitions, copywriting, all come together to provide a wonderful user experience.
